Preliminary Winners

First Annual Fredericksburg Fair Idol contest. This year the contest is for singers (up to 2 on the stage). Preliminaries will be held on Tuesday July 28, 2009 with the finals being judged on July 29th. The emcee will be Fredericksburg's own Brian Strobel, with Judges Anthony Campbell, Bran Dillard and Keith Armistead. The final night will consist of the top eight performers from the preliminaries. Come on out and support your favorite local talent!

This is for singing only—No Talent

1. No contestant may be a professional singer.
2. All contestants must register using this form
3. The cutoff date for registration is July 24, 2009 at 5 p.m.
4. The hours of competition are from 7:00 p.m. until all contestants have performed
5. There will be a maximum of 40 contestants.  (The first 40 that register with an additional 5 on standby in the event of a no show.)
6. All registered contestants must report in by 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday July 28, 2009. Report location—Fairgrounds Motorsports Park.
7. All  singing acts cannot  be composed of more than 2 persons
8. Each contestant must bring 2 music CD sound tracks for selection to be performed.
9. Each contestant must give an oral 20 to 30 second biography.
10. In the event that there are more than eight (8) finalists that have tying scores, those finalists will be ask to perform a second song.
11. The eight (8) finalists will compete on Wednesday July 29, 2009 at the Fairgrounds Fairway Stage.
12. Judges decisions are final.
13. Points are tallied by the accounting firm of TBA
